Adventure Everest Kala Pattar Trek
Mount
Everest, the highest mountain in the world, which is known
in Nepal as "Sagarmatha" the goddess mother of the
world, has long been the greatest attraction for nature lovers
and trekkers alike. Solukhumbu, the heartland of the Everest
Region and an integral part of the Himalayan mystique, thus
provides a welcome destination for these adventurers.
Throughout this trek trekkers are overwhelmed with views
of unbelievable peaks, Buddhist monasteries, and friendly
Sherpa villages. Perhaps some may even have a glance of the
Yeti! The local people believe that the Pangboche Monastery
actually has in its possession the real scalp of this Himalayan
legend.
As we proceed slowly to allow for maximum acclimation, we
will have plenty of opportunity to visit monasteries and sherpa
homes of this region. Most of our Sherpa crew come from the
Sherpa households of this area. Incredible views of Everest
and the surrounding peaks are the inescapable fare while we
ascend Kala Patthar.

Day-03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
(3445m)
After
breakfast in the morning, you walk north up Dudh Kosi valley
with gentle ups and downs up to the benker village where one
can see a beautiful stone carved prayer wall. Then the trail
is interspersed with magnificent rhododendron trees and old
growth forest. The trail follows gradually up to the village
of Jorsale where an Army check point is located and the national
park entrance ticket is issued. The trail goes gradually up
to the confluence of two rivers, Bhote Kosi and Dudh Kosi.
Crossing the bridge, the trail goes steeply about 3 to 4 hours
till Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is situated in the lap of
Khumbu Himal range, about 241km north-east of Kathmandu. This
is the home of the legendary Sherpas who have won international
renown as being the sturdy climbers to scale the highest peaks
with their indomitable will.
Day-04: Acclimatization day in
Namche Bazaar (3445m)
This day rest for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar
and excursion around the places. After breakfast,
we may take a side trip onto a ridge and to the Everest View
Hotel offering some of the best views of the high Himalayas
including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Ama Dablam,
and Thamserku. We then come down to Namche Bazaar to enjoy
our rest day to allow for maximum acclimatization on our way
up to the Everest area. A pleasant day can be spent exploring

of water driven prayer wheels. In the afternoon, we climb
steadily for about 2½ hours to Tengboche Monastery.
The monastery is literally surrounded by snow capped mountains,

the prayer "OM MANI PADMI HUM" inside the monastery.
Probably, the most beautiful place... offers majestic views
of Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Mount Everest, Lhotse Shar etc.

Today, very early in the morning from Lobuche, you start to
walk along the Khumbu glacier moraine again. The actual distance

altitude, stopping at Gorek Shep to drink some tea. Continue
up to Kala Pattar at an elevation of 5545m. The view surpasses
anything you imagine... all around us flow huge glacier ice.
The mountains of Pumori (7145m), Lingtren (6697m) and Khumbutse
(6623m) separate us from Tibet and just over the Lho La pass
you see the huge rock of Changtse (7550m) in Tibet itself.
But the queen of all them towers over everyone is Sagarmatha
(Mt.Everest / 8850m) . This is the roof top of the world.
After exploring with breath-taking view on the top, you come
down to Gorak Shep and will retrace the same way back to Gorak
