This attractive peak is situated in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. It is a part of the ridgeline and is located south from the glacier dome. It is includes Singu Chuli and acts as a central divider between the semicircle of peaks enclosing the sanctuary. This Tent peaks offers an interesting climb to the top and also offers an spectacular view of the Annapurna mountains. This peak has also nicknamed as it is called “Tharpuchuli”

Day-03 Kathmandu to Pokhara

Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus as far as the shining hospital. Driving for 7hours and over night spend in the Pokhara hotel.

Day-04 Pokhara to Pothana (1850m) 4 hours walking

This day after having break fast at hotel, take a short drive to Phedi then trek start to climb through the oak and Rhododendron forest. The enter trail up to Pothana is almost uphill along the stone paved lanes. Staying hotel at the village of Pothana is surrounded by thick forest from where one can have an excellent views of the snow-clad peaks including Mt. Fishtail (6993m), Lamjung Himal and Annapurna ranges.

Day-5 Pothana to Ghandruk(1953m) 6 hours walking

After break fast in the morning between 7 AM TO 8 AM, trek start to walk about 2 hours ascend through Rhododendron and Orchid hung forest bring you to 7100ft. pass. Then after descend down to the next village called Bichuk in about an hour. After that the trail goes flat until Landruk village which is situated on the east canton wall above the Modi River. From the picturesque village of Landruk, the views of Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Annapurna south(7273m) and Hiunchuli are magnificent and these peak dominate the skyline. We can spend few hours here which our lunch will prepare in the Restaurant. After lunch, we have to steadily descent to Modi River in an half hour where you have to cross over the village of Ghandruk is beautiful set against the peaks of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna south and Hiunchuli.

Day-6 Ghandruk to Chhomrung(1951m)

Trek along the village and gradually ascend to Kimru ridge through a sparse forest. Descend down through thicker forest to kimru river and stop for lunch. After lunch is a steep ascend for about 3 hours then the trail levels off till reach in Chhomrung.


Chhomrung to Dovan(2286m) about 6 hrs walk.From Chhomrung village, descend to Chhomrung River and ascend after crossing it. Pass through thick forest vegetation and follow the western bank of Modi river to Khuldi and then descent to bamboo. After Bamboo the trail gradually up to Dovan and over night spend at Dovan.

Day-8 Dovan to Deurali(3048m) about 4 hrs. walk.

After breakfast in the morning, we have a steady ascent of about 3 hours from Dovan takes us to Deurali. The bushy forest in this area is well stocked with leeches. Once, you we reach deurali the forest disappears and the valley opens up and becomes very picturesque. Now we are the foot of the Modi Himal and Machhapuchhre peak.

Day-9 Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base camp(3900m) about 3 hours walk.

After breakfast in the morning, we have gradually ascend to Machhapuchre Base camp. Good glacier views can be seen here.

Day-11 & 12

Back to machhapuchre base camp.


Descent to Dovan for about 3 hours. Now we have the trek revise to down until pokhara.


Trek to Chhomrung.

Day 16

Trek to Pothana.


Trek to Suikhed and drive back to Pokhara.


Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus and transfer to hotel.


Free for personal activities or departure to the international airport for onwards journey.

Cost include:

2 night hotel in Kathmandu, airport arrival/departure transport services all necessary land transportation as per trek itinerary, meal three times in a day, sleeping bag, guide, all climbing gears, porters, ACAP fee us$ 57, peak permit US$ 350 and Kathmandu / Pokhara / Kathmandu tourist coach ticket US$ 35, sherpa climber's charge $300, accommodation in the tent and insurance for Nepalese staffs.

Cost does not includes:

Hard drinks, cold drinks, hot shower and tips for guide/ porters, climbing boot with crampon, Int’l air ticket, hotel in Kathmandu except 2 night offered after upon arrival and rescue helicopter if used during the trek.
